Ace Hotel
Problem: Bringing the existing heritage façade (structural brickwork and structural lintels) to current BCA and Australian Standards.
Solution: Engaged structural; engineer and undertook insitu integrity testing to develop a remediation and repair methodology for the building elements to ensure compliance with current codes and standards.
Outcome: Avoided replacement of brick façade and lintels by repairing the existing elements. By implementing this forensic and detailed approach to each building element we avoided further demolition and replacement works and improved the programme by 3 months.

Problem: The commercial building had fallen into disrepair in areas of the roof, which had caused distress and leaking into the commercial tenancies below.
Solution: EP Build attended site and undertook a detailed inspection and prepared 2 remedial strategies for the client to select from. The preferred option involved chemical injections into the existing structure.
Outcome: Provided 2 alternate building solutions for the strata corporation. The selected option avoided replacement of brick façade and lintels by repairing the existing elements. By focusing on the specific building leaks and tracking them, we were able target the specific areas of the building that were encouraging water penetration and treated the source of the issues.
